Dr Beckett and the Atlantis team embark on a mercy mission to save a community from an imminent volcanic eruption Once infamous for harbouring a terrible disease, the small community has been ostracised, though they swear they are now free from sickness But as the evacuation begins, it seems that the people may have been hiding a horrifying truth

Quite an interesting book, told from Carson Beckett s POV I was glad that Carson didn t simply stick to his convictions rigidly By the end of the book he understood why the leader did what he did, he understood that, with the means available and with no one willing to help, they really didn t have much choice I think the point of this book was the understanding that it s easy to criticize when it s not you doing the tough decisions.

I really liked this audiobook It was narrated from the perspective of Carson Beckett, who was always one of my favourite characters in Stargate Atlantis, and to me, is very much like the episode Inferno but told from a different perspective with a disease thrown in It was pretty good, and a quick read.

A great story with a solution that really came out of left field Brilliant writing By far the best one of these so far listening to them in order.

An interesting adventure, somewhat of a standard rescuing a captive population from disaster, unveiling the truth behind an illness, all good Beckett material

This was about the same as watching an episode of SGA It was even the same length I liked it well enough, but when it comes down to it, I d much rather see the characters and the action than just listen to it.

In the middle of evacuating an entire planet due to imminent volcanic eruptions that will destroy it, Carson needs to find a cure for a deadly disease Good story, my favourite among the SGA audiobooks I ve listened to so far.
